Is a tune required or not?
Hello, i'm fairly new to the game so please bare with me.
I have a 2015 lexus is 350 f sport. I have both a muffler delete with welded quad tips and the f sport aftermarket mufflers.
I am looking to purchase an aftermarket mid pipe, such as an invidia or tsudo, but I am concerned how my car will run if I were to do this.
Would I need to get my car tuned in order to add an aftermarket midpipe? or would the car's computer essentially recalibrate itself, in turn, not destroying the air to fuel ratio.
Please let me know as soon as possible, as I would love to get this part on my car ASAP!!!
Thank you

I don't believe so. IF you go with a tune, only do a reputable source (i.e. not the 'best' deal you can find). These engines are quite complex in terms of timing and such, it is easy to destroy an engine with a bad tune.
The best answer to this is. Do you want to add mods and expect them to run the most efficient for mpg and HP on its own. Or get a RR tune where they have spent thousands of miles logging and tuning our engines to give these mods the most MPG/HP?
RR from my experience the gains are felt throughout the powerband and the engine idles better with a full Catback. By idle I mean I do not get the exhaust Pop when coming to a stop that is common with a catback.

With that being said, would you recommend the OBD ECU upgrade that they offer on their site, or personally going to their location and having them tune the ECU specifically for my setup.
(Keeping in mind I live 2 hours away from their location and the drive is not a bother to me)

I am in California and have a 2014 IS350 so i was able to still tune it using the handheld tuner they sell.
