Default Lowering questions

I am looking for some input on what those who lowered their cars did regarding the headlight aiming. Did you guys readjust it yourselves? Also besides the alignment, what else would you guys recommend I do after I install my RSR Down springs? Thanks.

I had to raise my headlights a bit. did it myself. the screws are a bit tricky to find and access but IIRC all that's needed is a screwdriver. No need to measure w/ a tape, 40 ft against a wall and all that jazz. just make sure they're as high as possible without risk of excessive glare/blinding people. my beam follows a gentle downward trajectory.

are you doing the install yourself? If you are a nitpicky like me, to do this job properly you'll need to loosen and retorque any rubber bushing where the angle of that arm is changed. namely the front A arm inners and the rear lower control arm inners. if you simply slap springs in without looseneing and retorquing, you'll have pre-load on the bushings and wear them out quickly. this is actually a recommendation by Lexus too w/ their Blue F Sport lowering springs.

To do this you'll need ramps and the car should be taken around the block to settle at static height (or as close to it as possible) make sure you achieve proper torque value if you do this.

I’m pretty sure I did it right today. I have access to a different lifts so it wasn’t terrible. I torqued everything to spec so I hope it’s all good I’m going to let my IS sit for a week and not drive it too much then get an alignment I’ll worry about the headlights later.
