The best are Michelin PS4 then the Super Sports. For a 250, I wouldn't get those tires...just not powerful enough. I'd probably get the Michelin A/S 3 and be done with it.

It's not just power...the handling/braking advantages of PS4's or PSS's can be appreciated on lower powered cars too.
I'm running Nitto NT555 Gen2 and for the price, they are really good and are very aggressive looking. They stick when you want and spin when you want to have a little fun. I might go with their more aggressive NT05 next and see how those are.
Depending on the transmission on your Lexus, you may need a stickier tire. The 8 speed from the IS-F is designed for as little tire spin as possible off the line so idk if the Pilots would be more than enough. I have only heard good things about them though (except for their price). But for sure a front wheel drive manual turbo Mazda would need more traction at the front.
I ran PSSs for 5+ years. great tire. but i've switched to Firehawk Indy 500s now. About $600 for a full set installed. they are sticky and highly regarded. Competes with Michelin PSS and even out performs in certain areas. definitely a great value. Great reports on BMW forums. BTW the name sounds silly but dont let that fool you. These are rebranded Bridgestone RE003s which are sold in other parts of the world. So it's an OEM grade tire.
Best overall is Michelin PSS or PS4, I couldn't find any and went with new Pirelli PZ4 quiet good tyres in breaking, cornering and noise however will see about tread wear against PSS.

LoL yeah, my car was around 300whp/330wtq (lots of mods and I built my own tune with a cobb accessport/accesstuner) and even with PSS's I could break the tires free at will in 2nd gear and even 3rd gear (at 50+ mph) would sometimes let go if the tires weren't warmed up. I was just really happy with them from other aspects too like noise/comfort compared to other tires I had ran and highly recommend them, they aren't *that* expensive.
I have the PSS, and there is a common problem of humming noise when you turn.. when u wind down the window, you will hear it.... at first, i thought the humming will go away after beaking in, but after 20k mileage and two rotations, the humming sound is still there. Great tires and after nearly 30k, treads are still good.

They're an ultra high performance tire...I wouldn't expect them to be silent. They're quieter than most UHP tires though.
Keep in mind they have variable contact patch such that the tire is designed to bend/adapt when cornering to maintain the best possible contact patch.

I was actually looking at these tires. Any experience with how they are in the wet? Particularly heavy rain and/or standing water? Glad to hear you like them overall.
