I finally noticed the trunk lid handle, in the trunk.
I guess it is meant to allow you to close the trunk without getting the the trunk lid dirty,
or getting you dirty.......depending on the situation.

 

And if you do it just right, it doesn't slam.

 

I haven't mastered the non-slam yet.

lol, had my car for well over a year now, and it is tough to get it to not slam. I have to touch the outside of the trunk and gently press it down to not slam it. With the handle, it's like trying to get a puck all the way to the edge of a shuffleboard table without falling off - an art.

 

i usually kinda push on the license plate.

 

It is difficult to use the right amount of force on with the inner trunk handle. After installing a TRD spoiler on the trunk, it is so much easier to close due to the extra weight. So problem solved
