Default Trd 8ar-fts (200t)

This is on display at the Tokyo auto show. Looks like the 200T (8AR-FTS) motor is the 3S-GTE successor. Hopefully we will see a lot more aftermarket tuning support.

Why de-invent the wheel? Subaru/Toyota's DIT FA20 series motor are awesome coupled with there twin scroll turbo. I would like to see the specs. Maybe it's a 2.3L? Which would put the HP at ~250-280.

I think the sign says 367ps which is 360 crank hp. Good for GT86 type car or future supra but for 3IS, 3,600 lbs is a lot for 360hp to hustle to be truly sporty. Curious to see what engine they'd use this in since their new twin turbo 6 puts out 400hp. Why have something stressed so much only to compete with their new jewel? That makes me think this is for a small GT86 type car and not something for any lexus model.

This engine is for racing purposes. It won't be used in a production vehicle.

Shares the same motor as the 200t (new 300), so means it has the potential.

Spec_A seems to be 293 PS - hopefully a similar spec could make it to production for a mid-range engine option?

Manifolds integrated into the head are relatively common these days, even for non-turbo setups like the 2GR-FKS in the newer IS350/GS350/RX350/Highlander/Sienna/Tacoma, etc.
