remember that the registratio increase Moonbeam approved without voter consent went into effect on Nov 1, so any registration fees due after that date will be higher than last year.

Last year my fees were $396 for my RC-F, under the previous rate calculation, this year should have been $347, but instead it is $546. you can thank our great and wonderful democratic leaders that have been raping the general fund for 20 years and using the gas tax and registration fees ear-marked for road repair for other things..

lucky you. mines is $500ish and I have a 2014 here in vegas. over here though its based off of the MSRP of the car. so every year it goes down little by little. my 2002 civic registration was $250 when I first got it. now its $89

CA is based off current market value,

could be worse, it could be like EU, where they run in the thousands every year and are calculated based off of: value, usage (how much you drive), your annual income, your age, engine size and CO2 production, and fuel usage (MPG) in Germany it can be north of $4,000 to register a car valued at $50K with 8 cylinders.

How long is this new law in effect for? Is it just for this one year or we talking about 3-5 years?

Could be worse. I just had to pay $650 for my Highlander renewal this year. My 2 year old GS cost me $610 to renew.
