Everything in California is expensive period. And now they want to charge a toll driving on carpool lane during daylight and traffic is always bad.

Missouri relies on gas taxes to fix roads. But, they are looking at changing that due to hybrids and EVs being more popular, in theory reducing the amount of gas we buy.

I pay $25 a year here in MO. I usually do two years at once because then I don't have to pay the stupid $3 charge for using a credit card more than once, lol.

Not really new but they started this in 680 already last yr now expanding to 880 and 237. You need to have toll transponder in order to drive on this lane even if you have 2 people in your car. Not sure about electric car, hours last the whole daylight time except after 7pm.

We've had this up here (Seattle area) for a few years now. Kind of a pain.

my 2019 IS 300 F sport cost $560 to register here in soCal. I have the black legacy plates too which tack on an extra $40 a year. Without them it would been $520.
