Question Menu & Home buttons don't work!

Hey guys,

When I start up my 2014 is 350 neither of my buttons work. I can't access any of my settings and all I see is the map screen. Also, my phone (Bluetooth connected) plays music but the phone function no longer works as I can't answer calls or make them. And the "help" button no longer works.

Any idea how to fix this? The manual has nothing on this unless i missed.

Have you tried disconnecting the battery? It should reset the system.

Exactly what I was going to say to try first. If this doesn't work, then a trip to the dealership will probably be needed.

Default Battery Reset

What was the procedure again for after disconnecting the battery? Up and down on all the windows?

Simultaneously press up on the front driver window and back rear window while pumping the gas and turning the volume *** up 3/4 then back 1/4th while also pumping the e brake with traction control off for 2 seconds and it will reset the battery.

Does this have to do with re-calibrating the automatic windows, actually?

His question certainly did. After disconnecting the battery, you have to re-initialize the windows. He asked what the procedure was for doing that step.

Yeah I have seen for that, that you have to go up and down on the windows twice each, sometimes more, and then attempt to use the one-touch automatic function. I haven't tried it myself, but there are examples all over the internet.

Oops.

How long did you keep it disconnected? It should be at least 10-15 mins to “discharge” whatever is still in the electrical system.

I took your advice and disconnected the battery longer, about 30 mins.

I still have the same issues and now my Bluetooth is completely disconnected from my phone. I can't toggle between Radio, bluetooth, CD, etc...
