hey guys. i have a IS200T. i just installed ark mid pipe with my invidia q300 axle back. it seems to me that ark made their exhaust system longer than invidia. so now i'm facing some issues.

 

Not sure what is the problem. but does the ark midpipe make the q300 louder? I have the same car, and the q300 with custom midpipe. my setup is not loud at all.

 

the problem is the right side of my exhaust is pushed outward. it is not even like my left side exhaust. yes the ark midpipe made it louder. even louder from 4k RPM til red line.

 

Did you try messing with the rubber holder of the hanger next to where it bolts up to the mid pipe? Maybe twisting it further back will move the muffler back.

Also, are you sure the mid pipe is centered? You wouldn’t be able to tell unless the car is on a lift. If it’s slightly crooked, the rubber hanger holders will still allow it to bolt up to the axle back because they’re the ones absorbing most of the crookedness.

 

The q300's mufflers are pretty restrictive imo even for a straight through. Im waiting to install ark axleback with my invidia midpipe. Selling the q300...too quiet. I tried a muffler delete earlier to see how much different it was and boy was it freakin loud.

 

same here man, selling my q300 too. Just got my 2017 OEM diffuser, new setup RC tanabe catback + ark midpipe.

 

maybe i should bring it to a auto shop instead of muffler shop next time. let's see what's up. im thinking of selling axle back too lol

 

lol everyone selling the q300. You are the first person i've heard of that has your current set up. I'm curious how mine will sound. (opposite set up of yours).

 

If you want pretty loud go with the apexi mid pipes and Stillen axle back. Of course it's gonna sound different because I have an IS350. Thats my set up and sounds amazing. Here's a sound clip.
