Default 2017+ Center vent/clock on earlier models

Alright so my car isn't a lease and I can't afford all the news toys the new IS's come with by buying a newer one, so was wondering if anyone had any knowledge about the 2017 center vent/clock fitting the 14+ models. I'm sure it's a direct fit but wondering if the clock harness is exact fit as the 2014-16

Reason, just looks so much more classier and easier to read, IMO. Can't be that expensive of a piece?

Seems like an interesting question. Having never seen the one in a 2017, I looked for a pic online.
While there are interior pics of 2017's there doesn't seem to be one that close up of the clock.
If there is a difference in the clocks, I can't really tell.

To your question though, I doubt that Lexus would change the dash shape for the 2017, so the vent assembly in the center should fit both iterations of the 3IS.
The connector for a 2014-16 IS clock is the exact same connector for a 2017.

I've been wanting to buy that center piece with clock from the 17+ and install in my 16. Love the way it looks, but seems like a lot of money for what it is. Plus removing that center piece is a real pain in the rear... involves removing all the center console pieces and driver side dash.

Hmm, I didnt realize the 17 was different. This gives me a really good excuse to buy this new one and have it hydro dipped carbon before installing. This way I don't need to have my center dash apart for more then a few hours. I've been debating on how to get the last few pieces of plastic in my car dipped without laying the car up for days.

I'm sure this is a few different pieces. But i wonder if any 17's have been totalled

100% must remove entire center console, radio, climate controls. It's a lot of work but shouldn't be too time consuming.
