The last 4 or 5 sets of tires I bought all came from Discount Tire and they have always been great to deal with. I mentioned this issue to the local manager and he says that it is company policy to assure that the tires are safe for the intended vehicle. The load rating is one of the critical items they check. If they sell you the wrong size tire and you have an accident because of a tire problem then they are at least partially responsible.

and the front wheels, for example are 19"x8"f and 19"x8.5r and they refused to sell me 225/35/19 f and 255/30/19 r. not some crazy setup where the tires are stretched thin or don't match the specs of the wheel.
