why doesn't my car screen show the album artwork that is shown on my iphone ???

 

im sure Lexus uses The Gracenotes junk like all of them are starting to. Completely retarded to have a system of preloaded pics/art to display that is out of date the second the car rolls out of the showroom. All the info is included right in the MP3, so it is always correct. Makes no sense why anyone would use Gracenotes.

 

thats the only thing i hate about lexus... album art works if you plug in your phone using the usb, but for bluetooth if gracenote doesnt have the album art in database then u will get a generic genre picture or outdated artist profile picture

 

It works fine on Pandora, FM radio, etc. for me... For Bluetooth it's pretty terrible - sometimes it grabs the wrong artist's picture altogether.

 

Hmm, I don't think it displays any artwork in the info center for the Japan models.
I usually mirror my phone though (not something the car came with)

 

I also happened to notice an "Update Gracenote Database" option in the menu this morning - maybe that would help with some of those issues.
