Stumbled upon an oem shift **** for the IS but I think it was from the 2IS just curious if anyone knows if it will fit the 3IS. It looks pretty similar to the regular shift **** except the silver plastic is carbon fiber. Part# PTR51-53081

looks like it's for manuals. probably won't fit on the 3is

That part is for Manual transmission only...will it fit an automatic shifter...no idea.
However, there is this part, PTR51-53080, which is for Automatic transmissions and a similar design.

These would probably fit and screw into the shifter, however the BOOT is where to probably lies. You cannot snap the OEM boot onto these shift ***** cause it does not have the clips for it.

Yah I was trying to find a shift **** boot retainer but couldnt find one that was 8x1.25. I read on one of the threads that was the size that we need for auto transmission. I found a shift **** that I like with a 8x 1.25 adapter but again like you mentioned the boot clip thing can't fit unless i replace it with a shift **** boot retainer.

From OEM shift **** to JDM Roja Red OEM style shift **** and carbon fiber overlay later.

Yes it is just a small piece of CF you tape on the shift ****. I grabbed mine for the same price.
