Default Vented hood + CAI. Need extra precaution during rain?

I have a BT-style hood from Seibon and a Takeda CAI. The air filter is exposed and the vents are right on top of it. I washed my car this weekend and I did a few quick indirect splashes of water over my hood. Popped it open and the air filter did get a little wet. Should I worry about driving in the rain then? Is there a rain guard/cover I can purchase for the air filter? I have the mesh pre-filter but that doesnt help much when it comes to keeping the filter dry

It doesnt rain much in CA but we get confusing weather. It even rained this morning. Just want to prepare if anything.

Don't complain! You guys get great weather year round. The valleys are super hot during the summer and freezing cold during the winter.

I would return both the hood and the filter back to stock, IMO.

you just don't like modifications period. one has the liberty to modify his or her car as he or she wishes. the intended or unintended ramifications are the owner's and the owner's alone.

Any specific reasons why? I understand intake for performance gain but whats wrong with the hood?
