Does the cabin air filter get used the whole time the A/C is on? Or is it only used with the pollen button is pressed?

 

The Cabin Filter is used all the time. There is a hood that goes over it that determines where the air get sucked in from (outside or inside).

As I understand it when the Pollen button is pressed it automatically recirculates the air in the car and passes the air out of the top vents only...basically trying to get allergens off of your body and car....
