Default Illuminated door sills

Anyone have these installed?
How do they look?
How are bright are they?
Comes in white or blue?
Does it really protect from scuffs?

SpecOne made a video for DIY if you are interested in it.

They come in White.
if you want blue, you can go with JDM ones for is300h
You can always break them open and change out with LED color to your heart's desire.

They aren't as bright as the older Lexus ones such as 2IS model
Its a decoration piece more than anything.

Highly doubt you want to scuff them for the price you pay for them. It does the same job as your current scuff panel on the car just with added lit up logo

Thanks for posting. I have two ISs and one came with the illuminating scuff plates and the other did not. I just bought the illuminating scuff plates for the one that doesn't have then and am planning on installing today. They're not plug and play so I'm not looking forward to the install because it looks difficult. I am looking forward to the final result though!!

Here they are installed from the factory on my IS. I love them. Couldn't live without these on any future Lexuses. Got them on my 2016 CT F Sport too!

They are never installed from the "Factory"
These are always PIO (Port Installed Options)

I haven't looked into that but my point is Lexus parts installed by Lexus. Not some aftermarket r1cer BS many install...

For all intents and purpose, they come from Lexus. They're on my window sticker as factory parts.

You see people linking ebay stuff. i'd stay away from them when factory options are available. They're usually distasteful

They look plenty bright to me
Probably even brighter in person
The white would match the interior lighting

Ebay has real genuine parts also just gotta be careful who you buy from. A lot of times you can get great lightly used oem parts from eBay.

Just ordered illuminated door sills from Amazon for 260. Excited to get them installed. My buddy's audi s6 has illuminated front and back.

Yea I got mine like a month ago on eBay from a Lexus dealership in AZ for like $257.50. I think it might be the sale place you bought yours from on Amazon (belllexusnorthscottsdale). Ebay is fine as long as you get it from a reputable seller.

Out of curiosity has anyone ever installed something like this? I know its pretty popular with Audi's but looks a bit tacky to me. Wonder if anyone has done this on their 3IS
