Default Discount off MSRP

I'm looking to purchase a 2017 IS300 with MSRP around 42500. No trade, No lease. After calling around dealers are discounting this down to around 40500. Is that it??
I was hoping to get in around 36-37.
If you purchased without leasing or trading, what % did you get off MSRP?

Thank you for the quick responses. Based on your comments my goal of 36k for the is300 seems reasonable. I haven't started negotiations or made an offer yet. I plan to do that on Monday. I will let you know the outcome.

That selling price I assume is after incentives correct? If so, what were the incentives that you qualified for? Thanks.

Yup, they sure did. I worked them hard. They wanted to move inventory because the 17's were coming.

Lol true that. I should of worked them harder. I was stupid to buy a '16 IS at the beginning of the year (Jan 2016). But, needed a car =\

I made a small error. It was actually $41,100. Not $40, 100.
