OBD-II How much info can you get?
Has anyone installed an OBD-II reader that has Blue Tooth and connected that to a tablet to use as auxiliary gauges? I am wondering if there are things like engine or transmission oil temperature available from the OBD system that can be viewed on a tablet or phone.
Anyone?

With the OBD II port you can pretty much get any kind of information you want.
Really depends on the software you are using and what it can display for you.

To be honest I have a Netbook running the Techstream software, which is the same one the dealer uses. The interface is a Mongoose USB to OBD II cable.
You get everything the dealer gets in terms of what can be pulled from the OBD II interface.
I'm not sure how easy or hard it is to get the Techstream software in the States...maybe a US member can chime in with suggestions.
