I was driving today and all of a sudden my rear view camera turned on for about 10 minutes while I was driving and then reset itself. Has anyone had this happen to them?

Any chance you got a Beatsonic installed and you're not aware of it?
If not, I wonder if the Reverse lights on the trunk were on at the same time...that might explain why it happened a little more.

Yeah that's happened to me once before like 2 years ago. Put it into reverse and then drive at a stop light and it never happened again.

Have not experienced this. What year is your car? Check here to see if you have the latest updates for the car.
That's what I thought, but it was a very odd software glitch. It's a 2014 IS350 btw.Originally Posted by PatrixUSA
It's a glitch, as this is definitely not normal operation for the car... although I'd love to be able to access the review camera on demand... but yeah, this is not how it is meant to operate. If it doesn't happen again, no harm, if it reoccurs take to dealer (with video as poof) to have them assess.Have not experienced this. What year is your car? That's cool but not normal it would be a nice feature if you could use it on demand, imagine if it grabbed reverse at speed

The Beat sonic front camera module will allow you to switch to the rear camera at anytime while in motion or stopped. I have it installed.Originally Posted by PatrixUSA

This usually happens to my 2014 IS350 F-sport when reversing and then suddenly switch it to drive without coming to a full stop. I have been able to reproduce it twice Sadly, never in front of a lexus tech.Originally Posted by theoryguy3

Yeah. This glitch happened to me a few months ago.
Drove on the highway for over an hour like this. Very distracting.
