You're confusing TNGA and GL-A. Only LC and LS use the GL-A (Global Architecture for Luxury) platform. TNGA is just Toyota New Global Architecture which pretty much all new Toyota and Lexus will use.

#1 It needs more power. Both the A4 and the 340 are much faster despite the claimed HP. Power to the wheels is all that matters, not manufacturer's claimed hp, and Lexus is way behind these cars.
#2. A better transmission. Slow to downshift, slow to upshift. Just not a sporting transmission at all. BWM's ZF transmissions are night and day better much less comparing it to Audi's dual clutches.
#3. Fire the infotainment designer. Seriously, what is this? 2001? Some people compare it to an old win amp skin. I think that is being nice. Just let people use android auto and call it a day.
#4 Better chasis tuning that will keep the handling but FIX the tire wear. This car eats tires like a sports car on summer tires. Only problem is that it is NOT a sports car and it is not on performance tires.

You are correct. That's what I intended to say.

Too many acronyms to try to remember off the top of my head.

My current IS is a bought so it will be hand down to my son/daughter as his/her first car (they have to do rock/paper/scissor and the winner get to pick the IS or the Camry).
I'll get a Supra for myself or the IS Hybrid/Manual
Mrs wants the GS.
i think you should give your son the IS, which is more of a sporty car for a guy and the camry for the daughter because she most likely won't care unless she's a car girl like us

1. Memory seats for the F-Sport model - can't stress enough how they take away the good things for the sport model
2. Exterior/interior colors for all models rather than exclusive to luxury or f sport, like BMW
3. 200t needs more oomph, 300 should have the 306 hp V6 from the current 350 and the 350 needs the TTV6 making like 320-330 horsepower, they all need the 10 speed trans
4. Mark Levinson for all models! It is annoying how ML is not available on the f sport models anymore
5. Heated rear seats
6. A package similar to BMW's track handling, available for both luxury and f sport models
