Stay with current is350 or get a new one?
What's up just trying to get some opinions on what to do. Right now I own a 2014 is350 f sport with 33k on it. Being thats its a 2014, factory warranty will soon expired which will probably cause the car value to drop. So I was thinking on doing a trade in for a 2016 (don't like the new is). Should I keep my current is or should I get a 2016 with low mileage?

There is not much of a difference between a 14 vs 16...
Is mileage and warranty to only factor that is making you want to trade? <-- if this is the case, you are better off leasing your cars.

It's the same car essentially maybe some features you would want instead of? The value isn't an issue are you itching for a new ride do you want a new color, new interior..... bored lol the new Navi is dope but fundamentally it's the same car. Up to you

I also have a '14 IS350 w/ 34,000 miles and haven't thought once about trading for a '16. (I also don't like the '17).
I plan on driving mine for a few years still.
Unless you plan on getting a non F Sport and/or getting options you don't currently have you don't gain much (ventilated seats - not sure what else).
Why not just get an extended warranty if you're concerned about that? The car should hold value pretty well.
I'm waiting to have no car payment, not add more years of payments.

The 2016 has nothing your 2014 doesn't already have, except a higher price tag. Personally I don't see a single reason to upgrade.

The 2016 has heated and ventilated seats. The ventilated part is very, very nice here in Florida. That is the only difference I noticed...prob not worth it if you live in a cool climate.

Which the 2014's also have, just like the IS has had since 2006. Did you guys get screwed in the U.S. on the ventilated seats for 2014 or something? In Canada even the base IS250 has both heated and ventilated seats.

Yup, just like we got screwed on the USB 2.0 color in 2014.

i notice this too, lexus resale value isn't as good as it used too be but I notice the same with other car makers too not just lexus vehicles

I have a 2008 IS350 with 70k miles on it, not only is it faster than the 3G IS, but it looks a hell of a lot better (though I suppose that's a personal thing), it, like most Lexus vehicles from years ago, has ventilated seats. Personally, I would be pissed to have non-ventilated seats in a car this nice, then again, I also live in Phoenix As far as trading in your car, I can't imagine wanting to get so voluntarily raped by trading in such a new vehicle but that's your own call. Also, to those saying Lexus has the highest resale value, I can definitely echo that sentiment, my car is still worth ~$18k and I bought it 2 years ago for $19k (those are private party values, as that's how I buy my cars). In fact the earlier IS300 was awarded best resale value for several years by KBB and other rating authorities, if you know of a brand with higher resale value I'd like to hear it as Lexus is pretty much the top of the heap.
Not sure why you would want to upgrade to a 2016 when the 2014 is basically the same car, you either have more money than sense, or have some sort of compulsion that requires you to have something near brand new...either that or you just love car payments

Right now everyone (in general) wants an SUV or a truck due to low fuel cost. Due to this sedans have suffered which could be the reason for the low residual value for sedans.
The biggest depreciation occurs within the first 2 to 3 years.
