Is there a way for the IS to recirculate air when you have the A/C set to defrost towards the windshield?

 

I don't think I have ever owned a vehicle that allows you to recirculate while using defrost.

 

My old STI did. I liked having the heater blowing towards the windshield on low while not getting any extra from outside otherwise it gets too hot here in TX.

 

You have to change the directional air flow to the front defrost AND bottom position. Then you can click to circle air within the cabin.

I don't remember any of our Subarus being able to do that. I know for a fact my LGT didn't, but I never really paid attention in the STI.. For the record though I thought you meant the defrost button only. You cannot have recirculate on while only defrosting the windshield
