Made in China, found on eBay and AliExpress...

Here is a detailed assembly guide for the IS3: http://minkara.carview.co.jp/userid/...5000/note.aspx (no Japanese language skills required ;)

Looks like it is secured by 3M tape. Wondering if it would be easy to take off?

Looks good tho, cant tell if there were any gaps. I may just buy one so I can get CF look & keep to oem.

This seems to be the original manufacturer: http://www.dcrtuning.com/product/lex...ft-****-cover/
They also advertise on eBay...

The CF on this looks very good. Is it real CF?

Here is what I found on eBay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/2527721...&ul_noapp=true

Here's the (much cheaper) listing by what I believe is the original manufacturer "DCR Tuning": http://www.ebay.com/itm/Carbon-Fiber...-/192018108880

Anyway, this product is sold by dozens of sellers on eBay. Or perhaps they're all the same with different price schemes... it's China, we'll never know

@nathantse: Depending on the total cost of the eBay advertised parts (shipping & handling, tax if applicable), it might be cheaper to get a professional carbon fiber coating (e.g. here). As you have mentioned, the fact that you could always return to stock by removing that cf cover is advantageous.

I was waiting for a local offer until today. Turned out to be around $70, and that's already including our 19% VAT, so I assume you can find something even cheaper stateside

Yeah, I've seen their work. But its cumbersome to send my shift **** to them to do it. How am I gonna drive lol.

I think the CF over route would be most ideal. Like you said, I can revert back to stock whenever.

Haha, yeah, you're right. I got a cheap RX shift **** from Yahoo auctions as a substitute as you can tell from the other photos.

FYI, when I contacted DCR Tuning through eBay they replied within a day. Perhaps they'll even be willing to offer you a discounts... worth a try.

So I've installed my shifter, but what do I do about the existing clip?

From what I hear, if its an aftermarket shifter, the clips basically will have to hang or you have to find some ways to keep it up. Unless you get an aftermarket boot as well.

The OEM boot's clips will only attach to OEM shift **** is what I'm saying.

Post a pic if you can.

Just read another thread that if you get underneath and flip the boot, its a zip tie holding on the stock clip so just snip it
