Unhappy Steering wheel is not centered even after alignment

Hi IS owners,
Last week, I noticed that my F-Sport steering wheel is not centered while I was driving. So I went to the shop for an alignment and thought that it would correct the issue. However, the alignment did not fix the issue and the my steering wheel is still pulls toward the right. The top of the steering wheel is at about 2 o'clock position instead of the 12 o'clock position like it's supposed to be. Is there any way to reset the steering position or do I need to bring it back to the shop?

Thank you,

I've found that my IS is pretty sensitive to the road camber, but the wheel being at 2 o'clock rather than 12 seems wrong. I would try to take it to Lexus for them to take a look. It's possible that you have some suspension damage (e.g. bent control arms or something).

I can totally relate to your issue. I had a new 2G IS300. After a few months, it progressively started pulling to one side. Endless aligning trips, including state of the art ones could only make it go straight with the wheel at almost exactly degree like yours, either at 2 or 10 o'clock positions, can't recall which side. Even then it still pulled to one side, but not as severe when steering wheel aligned straight. Even dealer couldn't get it right, ultimately he said needs something more drastic with axel to resolve. I accepted status qo and switched to cheaper tires upfront because they kept wearing off on one side as I did a lot of highway miles to work. Sorry not much help. But that was my story.

They can fix the steering at the shop during an alignment. Dealership should definitely be able to fix this.

I recall now, when I did take it to the dealer, they said there's a certain range of adjustment they can work with, but even they adjusted to the max possible in the direction needed, it wasn't enough and never corrected fully. I hope you have better luck.

does the car drive straight but the steering wheel is just not centered? if so, easy fix by alignment shop/tech. but if the car is pulling or drifting to the side after the alignment, that's not right. did the car pull/drift before the alignment? if so and to the same direction as before, it might be radial pull.

Thank you for all the replies. I took the car back to the shop earlier and they were able to adjust it. My steering wheel is aligned in the center now. The tech told me that he adjusted the toe a little bit too much. It's crazy how sensitive our steering wheels are. I hit a curb last week and I was scared that the control arm was bent.
