Hahahahahaha. Love it. Isn't that the gas that killed your injectors. Classic.

Yes! I have credit card statement dating back as far as they want to show that I've been using Shell 91. It's clear to me that everything they've been telling me is off a script. No one is listening to the safety issues nor the root cause of the problem. The evidence gathering is going well.

That is hilarious. I'd call them back to thank them for the cards and then point out the irony of what they bought you and back it up with your receipts.

Afterwards I would tell them your going to the media and also your going to file a complaint with Ministry of Transportation to make them aware of this safety defect and how it has been handled.

Your not the only one on here that has suffered failed injectors.

I suggest just taking it to Camvap...if you have a shred of evidence that supports your claim, Lexus Canada will buy the car back.
It's sad its come to this, and it's really a great car, but you just seemed to be plagued by bad injectors...or something causing them to go bad.

Gotta love my Airmiles. This is probably the only time it's useful. I was able to pull all the transactions from Shell since 2014! You can also see I gas twice a day, different cars in the family. Obviously no problem with the other cars. I'm definitely going to put together a file for Camvap. I can't take this crap any more. I've tried to be reasonable with them. Public media is probably the last step if they don't want to settle this in a respectful manner.

I received an update last week that they are looking at over 200 cases and 90-95% of the failures are in BC. The waiting continues as the investigate further.

In the mean time they acknowledged the irony in sending me Shell gift cards.

well before you go blaming Shell, have you considered doing a UOA to figure out the issue?

I have a 2013 GS 350 and having the same problem. My car last year had fuel injectors 3 and 5 switched out last year at 50,000 km by Regency Lexus. My car is at 60,000km now and same thing happened. Engine light pops up and car stops working. Now Regency Lexus says fuel injectors 2 and 6 need to be replaced, and suggested that I replace 1 and 4 as well. I've been given the fuel explanation for the faulty fuel injectors but I have been using 91 all the time. CFOO, can you give me any advice on how I should deal with this? Just like you, I am also in Vancouver.

OP, What ultimately happened with this story? I know it's old, but this has been an interesting read.
