Might want to consider this one (Samsung Wireless Car Charger) since it doesn't block the screen and it charges the phone:

Yours is probably the best one I've seen...I just didn't like the idea of blocking a vent. You're right about blocking the screen, and the worst thing about my setup is not having access to the screen and the backup camera, so I might not stick with my setup for too long.

I have a phone holder that is ment to be clipped on to the vent but instead hooked it on to the lip of the CD slot, I never used CD so it works well.
I did remove it, i instead bought a center arm rest tray, made a QI wireless charger, and wireless screen android auto. Now I just drop my phone in the center armrest tray, it wireless charger my phone and connects to android auto on my screen.

A bit off topic… where did you get those carbon fiber panels for center panel and doors? They look great! It doesn’t look like wrap

they are 6D carbon vinyl from Amazon ( tinybots vinyl 6D gloss) if you take your time on the right type of vinyl they can look good. I bought 4 different type of vinyl and this one looked the best, it's a bit thick so hard to use.

What's the exact phone holder that you clipped to the lip of the CD slot? From your pic, that looks better than the mounts that are purpose-built for the CD slot, as those block the climate controls, while yours appears out of the way...

Default RC Phone mount

Hello,

I am very new to this forum so just searching for now. Recently, my wife purchased a 2022 RC 300 F Sport and is in need of a good phone mount. I have created a few in the past so searching for ideas like your post. I know this is an older post but do you mind sharing the actual mount that you purchased?

Thanks in advance. Rick

I'm sorry to necro a thread (a recent common occurrence). I just got the proclip for my 18 IS350. It's better than the vent mount I had before, but I do notice an ever so slight gap increase in the top part of the dash. Is it just the location I picked? Or is this within tolerability limits?

-EDIT- Proclaim said the dash should 'relax' with some time, and it has. Looks and works great!

Any issues with phone overheating? I have had vent-mount phone holders in the past and in the winter with the heat coming out of the vent, I have had my phone give me the overheating warning.

Default IS Phone Mount on Screen

Ever since I sold my IS-F I have missed it. While its not a true IS-F the IS500 is close and I am searching for one now. (Looks the new IS model will not have a V8). I am looking for ideas on where to mount my iPhone 13 Max as I use the display for apps with my RD. I dont want any style that mounts to a vent as those block airflow. I have seen a few that mount to screens (lots of Tesla ones) but it has to be on the right side as no room on the left. What are people using? Have you found any good ones? Where do you mount yours? Post pictures if you can. Thanks.

Ive just ordered the porches phone mount from T-Design. It should be direct fit. A little pricey but no need to drill holes or cover the vent.

This is not my picture. Im still waiting for delivery but it will look just like that.
