Default Intake box question

Hey guys i just bought a new is 350 F sport, i have been looking around forum and read you can have extra sound by replacing the lower inteke box with the F SPORT INTAKE BOX. My question does the stock filter and upper lid is compatible with F SPORT INTAKE lower box?
Thanks

Why would you keep the stock filter? Change it to the F-sport air filter.

I have fsport intake but your question is confusing me. Fsport intake does NOT come with lower box. You will get upper lid, Fsport blue intake filter, blue plastic couplers and metal tube.

@dchar because getting the whole set up F SPORT INTAKE, will remove the resonator and will sound less.
@leo877 i thought it was a whole package... the deep sound comes from the lower housing that has a hole. If i could just get the lower housing would be perfect that what other people have state to have done. I just want to make sure the F SPORT INTAKE shares the same filter and upper lid as the stock airbox.

F Sport intake kit replaces:

Top lid
Tube
Filter

The sound you here is actually from the sound generator connected to the non F sport tube which you would be removing.

You should go with aftermarket intake. It sounds better

the 2is fsport intake replaced the lower box with one that has a hole in it. as mentioned above, the 3is fsport intake does not replace the lower box

I'm pretty sure Fsport air filter will fit OEM box. The benefits of Fsport air filter are you will get colder air than the paper air filter, plus you can reuse it. You can cut/drill to make holes on the lower box just like 2IS folks did.
