Default Dead battery issue

I drive a 14 is350 f sport. so i just went out to start my car and it wouldnt let me. I just had my cousin come by to give me a jump on the battery and the car ignition was able to be turned on and started. Now on my instrument cluster the check engine light is on which is the first time i seen it and the word trac off is displayed on the screen which i cant get rid of. Whats the issue? Seems like i need a new battery i live in philadelphia and it was 30 degrees last night and i havent started my car up in 12 hours.

I know the 2014 models have battery drain issue, should i go to the dealership to see if they can resolve it or should i go ahead and purchase a new battery to install today

I think a lot of people who have had this issue don't jump the car and have the dealer tow it and run tests. Do a search and see what they've done to remedy the problem. I think it is a parasitic drain and ecu replacement resolves the problem.

I went out of town for a month and some change a little while back. When I came back my car was dead, jumped it and drove it around. When I went to start it again it was dead. Mine is a 2014 and the battery was healthy when I left town. I guess over time something drained it, I dunno what it could have been because the lights were all turned off and the doors completely closed. I just threw a new battery in it and went on about my life.
