How about the Tesla and their autopilot, which was linked to accidents? On a side note, apparently on NHK World news i saw a while ago, Tesla is apparently test piloting an updated autopilot system in Japan.

How about teach your daughter how to drive properly instead of rely on the technology was meant to be as driver's assist.
If she pays attention on driving, not distracted by anything she wouldn't need the pre-collision system.
And you are testing it in a WRONG way.
The system works UP to 40km/h and if you are testing it at 50km/h the system won't engage and you will run into another car or run over a pedestrian in real life satiation.

I would agree with forum429. Also the fact that if your daughter is learning how to drive, she does not need a Lexus as a first car. I probably understand the reasons why, but to others (including those around you or her) it does not sound right as a learner does not need a luxury car; a Toyota of instance would be fine.

forum429, hopefully this does not imply C-Lai drivers which we have seen in GVA!! Those are terrible in luxury cars; usually, some have been reported on ravscene under dangerous drivers.
