rear end noise

Hey, after shutting the car car down around 5pm, i went out to the garage around 11pm and heard a noise coming from the rear of my 2016 IS300AWD. This is not the first time i've heard this noise. It sounds like a small motor running in the gas tank. ( fuel pump??) Does that run when the motor is off and the keys are nowhere near the car? I went back out to garage 1 hr. later, no noise. Remember it's been sitting 4-5 hrs. Thanks for any help.

It's normal, but I forgot what it is as this happens on my 2IS as well. It will stop after a while.
