Default 2017 release?

I am almost done with my lease and am considering a redesigned 2017, but don't really want to wait much longer to see car in person and prolong the new deal. 2 dealers told me the 2017 IS won't be in until December? YIKES!

Does anyone have any insight? There are tons of other auto makers who are taking delivery of 2017 models every day. Not sure why the 2017 IS isn't at dealers yet and why there is ZERO new info on them? It's a slight redesign, not a new model launch, seems strange how the timeline is shaping out. Has Lexus done this before with previous mid cycle refreshes?

I called around yesterday. They said the 2017s are not even being built yet. The past 3 years they're been releasing the cars the last week on August. Idk why they're lagging this year.

The only thing I like about the 2017 is the bigger screen for infotainment system

The new 2017 IS should be here in October/November. maybe even sooner because we just received fifteen 2017 CT200h's last week at my dealership.

Yea, I was holding out for the 2017 model but with Lexus barely give us any info on the release date + I don't want to go to the hassle of fighting for a deal on the redesign model, I end up taking the plunge on a good deal on 2016 model instead. Dealer are practically selling their 2016 IS for fraction of the cost from what I see.

37.5k + tax/license for an MSRP 46k IS350. My final OTD price is 41k
