Maintenance req light already?
My 2016 is200t is at 4500 miles and I got the maint req soon light pop up already? I thought we only had to get an oil change at 10k miles, which would be the first service.

Whats involved in this 5k service? Can I just have this maint light turned off? lol, sorry, I dont remember anyone telling me about any 5k service when buying the car and assumed the first service was at 10k. I'll read the manual when I get a chance. thanks

I mean yeah you can still drive it. But the light will be on and you will be getting that maintenance message every time you start the car. And if something goes wrong with your car in between the 5k-10k miles, Lexus would be like, "Well you didn't come for the 5k check up, so you probably F-ed something up, so its not the manufacturers fault".
Technically, 5K is a check-up to make sure everything is working and such from the factory.
Everything they do at 10k service except for the oil change.

Maybe an oversight on Lexus possibly as they probably copied and pasted this from 2nd gen, where AWD, all 4 tires were the same size while RWD is staggered. For 3rd gen, it appears both power trains are staggered therefore you would not be able rotate them.
For 14-15, the standard IS250 and IS350 without upgraded tire packages had a square setup. I am not sure about the 200t setup. For 16, Lexus made the 18" staggered upgrade on the 350 standard. So while most have the staggered setup, some do not.
This. Can rotate tires on non-F Sport cars and cannot rotate on F Sport cars, There may be other packages that have a staggered set up too, but I am not specifically aware of them. The best value for me for the 5K service was to reset the service light. I didn't even care for the car wash with my 250 because there was tire grease all over the side of the car when I got home.
