Default Chrome window trim to black?

People! I have a gray 2015 IS350 F Sport. Just looking for suggestions to get rid of this chrome window trim. Does Lexus sell it in black?. Anyone wrap there trim? Should I just go to a shop to get it painted?

Welcome to the forum. Majority of folks who blacked it out got it done with vinyl wrap, gloss or matte.

Vinyl is most likely the easiest. Paint may work, but it typically chips somewhat fairly easily when applied to chrome pieces.

Vinyl black gloss wrap on the trim is the way to go. I did it and I'm loving the look. I did a DIY by buying the beltline blackout kit from outmotoring.com for $10 and saved myself alot of money from having a shop do it. Although I recently got my roof /chrome grill trim wrapped so the shop was nice enough to fix my corners on the two rear passenger doors because that is the only part thats tricky. There are also people who have plastidipped the chrome and it looked pretty good too. But if you're a baller and just don't care about price then I'd say just go to a shop and let them do it. Maybe different in your location but most of my local shops wanted $400+ for the chrome trim wrapped in vinyl...

Chrome vs No Chrome

Completed side.

The rear corner as you can see its not a whole piece but no one noticed unless closely looking or I pointed it out.

Thanks all. I agree the vinyl looks great. Any vids on how to wrap or at least remove trim? I hear removal may cause clips to break. Any threads/tutorials?
