Yes, 90% is great too! My friends have 90% on two of their vehicles and it looks like nothing is there!!

Thanks Got pulled over once already... It's the side windows that makes it look darker! I'm changing side window tints to 35%

You guys are sorta of right! It all comes down to the town/county and the police officer (some are tougher than others)...

So...

The other day I got a window tint ticket .

As I was driving down a two lane road, my Valentine One radar detector was going crazy, so I do the speed limit. And I see a line of cars come up and the cop is at the end. He passes me and he literally pulled a U-turn a few thousand feet after he passes. I thought he must of been after someone else, but then he finally catches up to me lol. He tells me he stops me because of my dark windows and no front plate. He asks why I don't have a front plate and I just tell him, "look at this car, I think it looks way cooler without it. And I am a little uneasy about drilling holes in the grille." He laughs and he tells me to sit tight and he will be right back. The cop comes back and says, "look, here's what we will do. I'll split the difference with you and I'll just write you a ticket for the window tint. Drive safe".

Lol. But hey now at least I know that my front two windows meter out to 30% lol. He never said anything about my front windshield tint.

Where are you getting it done? As a word of warning, I would double check and make sure they are indeed using 3M Crystalline and not something lesser quality; 150 is very compelling considering I was getting quotes for 300+.

Lol that sounds super cheap! I guess that's the benefit of having a friend who owns a detailing shop

the trick I've used to getting away with the windshield being tinted is to include the strip across the top of the windshield to give it the illusion that the windshield just has a the top strip and not fully tinted - I;ve maybe gotten 2 tint tickets in the roughly 20yrs of driving, both of which had nothing to do with the windshield (though tinted in this method at the time of the citations).

looks great - and best protection for the interior/dash especially

How is the 70% at night? Do you struggle at the tiniest bit seeing at night?

On my RX 350, i have 90% Crystalline on the windshield and can't even tell its on there....

So, i'm now debating between 70% or 90% on my windshield for my upcoming 2018 IS

A reputable tint shop in Los Angeles quoted me this on Crystalline:
Price for Crystalline window tint on all windows except the windshield is $600 (tax included). Windshield and sunroof is an additional $350.
