Did you purchase or lease? What's considered a good deal right now on this car?
although my experience with the dealerships has left something to be desired, i love my new 2016 is200t and i am happy i pulled the trigger on it.
i bought the sonic blue 2.0 is200t f sport, with the black interior. the color is the metal flake, and looks so nice. (originally wanted the white and black but due to unseen circumstances, it didn't happen)
it came with just 30 miles on it, and i look forward to putting on many more.
i just got it yesterday so I don't have any input on the gas mileage, but I'm sure it won't deviate much from the range everyone else has stated.
i hope you'll update on what route you decide to go.

So, if you're in the market for a new car buy or lease. This should be a good time to go check it out.

I purchased, they have a 2K rebate until the end of the month and then I got another 1K for being military. I paid 41K for this vehicle which seems about average or just below with the options for the premium paint and colorguard which would've been another 1500 according to the sticker.

Thanks for the info I noticed the Lexus cars have the premium paint/color guard option. What is that? Pricey option. Is it actually worth it what does it do versus not getting it?

its just a upcharge for the premium paint options, like mine came with the 2.0 version which includes the metallic flake. the color guard is just supposed to protect the paint and keep the color vibrant longer as described by the sales rep.
I wouldn't get it if I didn't have to, but I was tired of searching around for a car, and I didn't want to wait 4 months for the special order.
you shouldn't have to pay that total price though, you should be able to make it up elsewhere through rebates and haggling.
good luck, hope you can find what you want.

Went to the dealership today and now I'm considering the ES...I'm having trouble getting past the front grille on the IS just not used to the look

do whats right for you
hey "different strokes for different folks", but i agree with the previous poster if your doubting yourself on the purchase i would wait and find something thats right for you.
i myself find the wider and slatted grille on the ES even more unattractive.
i wouldn't step into something as expensive as a new car without having a decisive decision on what you want and how the car you purchased fulfilled that "wanted" space.
no buyers remorse here..........

The ES is more targeted towards older people. The ES is basically an RX, but is a sedan version.
The ES doesn't feel sporty, and the handling is not as good as the IS. It is bigger, longer, and roomier if thats what you're looking for.
If you are really considering in the ES, I would probably go for the ES300h rather than the ES350. Reason being, is that the ES350 is basically another detuned IS350 engine. You're not going to be a speed demon by choosing an ES. So I would rather just go with the hybrid to save gas, and be a practical DD.
