The refinements that have been made with refresh really do bring out more fierceness to the car. Have a comparison shot below to the 16 f sport. Car Is definitely sexier.

The 17 is nice but I really do like the lower front lip of the 16 as opposed to the 17. Its just too big IMO. Besides that I dont see any noticeable difference even though I know they changed the head lights slightly and it looks as if the F sport grill is slightly thinner and more aggressive.

the grill looks like the same size, the chrome trim around it got smaller making the grill look smaller (look at the hood line creases)
amazing thats all it takes
I'm a bit late to the game but my opinion about the refresh is that it seems like it was changed for the sake of changing it. Nothing seams like it was really improved with the refresh and to someone who wasn't familiar with the car, they may not even notice. I feel the rear lights look worse especially with the orange lens. The front headlight change looks good in the concept with the LEDs and the small air intake but in the production model they just look like an unnecessary change and don't look too different from the 2014 model. I don't mind the air intakes built into the spindle grill on the fsport however I feel that the sculpted intakes on the previous model looked more aggressive and fluid. I do like the new interior tech however.
I am frustrated by the lack of excitement of the refresh because I was wanting to upgrade to an IS model however I really like the 14-16 design. I don't want to get an outgoing style though becuase I would like to have the most current design.
....Maybe it will grow on me.
i have the pre-refresh version and i can't stand the refreshed model. i'm waiting until the next generation comes out -- hopefully it won't be too garish despite lexus' garish leanings.
As you may know I bought a ’16 quite late in the model year, and therefore got a good price. To me the only change for ’17 that I wish I had is the larger nav screen.
Do all new 2017 IS come with the larger 10.3in screen or is that an option upgrade? I was looking at 2017 IS Turbo F sports but they all had smaller screens

I believe bigger screen comes with navigation package only.
You can tell my looking at the center console. If there is a ****, it has no Nav. But if there is the remote touch (a square joystick), then its equipped with Nav.

yes I know that. What I meant was maybe I did not look close enough to notice whether it had a bigger screen or not.
