Remove it yourself from the back seat not from inside your trunk. Very simple. The third brake light are held on by tabs and pops right off. Push housing towards the rear window, then pop the side closest to you up. Then slide whole unit out. Then you will need to remove the bulb. Took me one minute. It's not even that snug, and kind of slides from left to right even.

Thanks! I saw couple videos for other cars and wasn't sure ours was the same. Now if I see the guy having trouble I can tell them and avoid anyone going hulk smash on the housing.
My tint guy did the rear window with ONE piece of tint and the 3 brake light was not a problem..just slid the tint right in and covered it up. I personally think it looks so dumb when they cut the tint out for the brake light.
thanks for the reply. the guy did not do the cutout for the third break but man, they did a poor job. Im taking it back to redo some windows. The driver side has dust trapped inside and the other windows the tint was damaged during installation.
Yeah that's not good. With tint shops you have to research and you get what you pay for. I went by a few and I paid $225 for mine to be done with Llumar CTX. She...(yep, she)...did a superb job. Masked off the dash and doors with plastic sheeting so the liquid solution never touched the panels or seats. Took her two hours of actually working with the window film but was way worth it. There where a few tiny air bubbles but she mentioned they would go away as it dried and after 3 days of sun, they indeed did. I gave her $275 after I saw the finished product.
