Default Audio is off sometimes

There have been a couple of times when I get in and start the car the audio is off. I never turn the audio system off before getting out of the car.
There are no other issues whatsoever.
I just found this a little peculiar.

Has this happened to anybody else?

Yes. When i use the USB cable connected to my phone.

It never turns off on radio or BT audio.

Try connecting your music source via USB before starting the car.

I always have an iPod nano connected via USB and never disconnect it. That's the only music source that I use and never connect my phone as a music source using bluetooth or USB.

It's not a big deal, as it happens very rarely - which is why I actually notice it. It's happened probably less than 10 times in the 2+ years that I've had the car. It just catches my attention, obviously, when the screen says "audio off".

Same thing happens to me, and there seems to be no rhyme or reason to when it chooses to turn the audio off. I also am using my iPod whenever this happens (I figured perhaps it was because I have an old iPod). Not a big deal but annoying only because the radio plays louder than my iPod and so I get a big blast when I turn the system on again.

I just had a firmware upgrade from the dealer (for something else) but that has not reconciled this particular issue.

I have a 2015 and use a flash drive and leave it plugged into the USB port and never noticed the audio off or on another source when turning the car off or on.
