They are likely going to the Parking Brake first because there is a service bulletin about a parking brake cable noise.

Atticus44...if you're hearing the noise when turning left only, and it sounds like it's from the right front, have you tried pushing back the backing plate behind the rotor?

 

Had this strange metal clanking noise out of the blue. Went to a specialist workshop (he is the go to person in my country - lots of experience in 2is and Mark Xs) to sort it out. Cleaned out the e-brake mechanism and double check on the bushings (i replaced all the bushings) but can’t pinpoint the cause.

Also did a checking on the exhaust mounts and mufflers but no noise could be produced when shaking it vigorously.
