Default Wheel Bearings Maybe?

Has anyone heard a noise coming from the wheels? Sometimes it's a squeak, sometimes it sounds like sandpaper going over wood. Makes the car sound really old when cruising. I took it to Northside Lexus in Houston Texas which is next to a freeway. They said they don't hear it. I set an appointment to have it checked, but if they don't hear it, are they not going to do anything? I used to own VW/Audi cars, and they would just say perform as spec, no issue found. I'm worried that Lexus will do the same. I drove off from the dealer, and there it was again. I'm kinda sad as my car is only several months old with 2500 miles on it... :-(

Have a tech come out and sit with you while you reproduce the sound.

I had a screeching noise come from the driver side front - turned out to be the brake rotors needed resurfacing oddly.

Wheel bearings usually makes this tinging clunk sound that increases with speed and turning. But it's possible if the wheel bearing is completely gone - to make that screeching grinding noise (though I'm kind of doubtful)

Under what circumstances do you hear the noise? While turning? Going over bumps? Increases with speed? Louder with the brakes applied?

Where do you hear the noise coming from front or rear? Rocks like to get stuck between the front rotors and backing plate and will make noise. Sandpaper sound I could only think of surface rust on the rotors from sitting over night and when you first apply the brakes you will hear that type of noise until it's cleared off. More info would help.

I have the same problem, for me, the noise comes from the front of the car only when i turn the noise starts to get louder. It sounds like "tik tik tik tik" everytime i do a hard turn, left or right.

Brought it to the dealer and they immediately knew it was the brakes as this is a known issue. Got it fixed, the noise is still there but it's not as loud anymore.

My issue was with the brake dust shields. It seems they took a stethoscope to the bearings, brakes, then drove it around. Did it again, when the brakes got hot, the dust shield moved a little and the rotor would come in contact with it.

Who knew, LOL
