Default New AEM cold air intake

Apparently AEM has made an intake system that replaces the entire OEM system. Has anyone seen one in person?

Also looking for a CAI, thanks for sharing. Kind of pricy though? Are they usually around that price for complete set?

I personally don't own one but I think that is the going rate for a CAI system. People will argue that due to heat soak a metal tube is not favorable. I have read a lot of people use the plastic AFE system

AFE system is better, but aluminum pipes can also work adequately by wrapping them with insulation. BTW I read that SRI actually makes more power due the reduced piping restriction.

this looks pretty close (without tabs) to their K&N 69-8702TP for the GS350

is this considered a 'cold-air' because of the heat shield baffle? I remember CAIs going all the way down to the bumper for cold air.. most of the aftermarket short ram intakes looking the same as this.

for newer cars the OEM airbox takes in cold air from the bumper and directs it into the filter. most of the CAI now a days piggy back off of that. filters located near the bottom of the bumper proved to be problematic with wet weather so not too many companies offer this anymore for the newer models.
