Default 10 amp fuse for Radar and Dashcam?

I cant imagine either of these devices draw too much load and id would rather keep the fuse jumpers to a minimum.

Before anyone asks, i dont want to wire to the back of the mirror for power because i want to use the separate mute module in the escort hardwire kit. I am going to tuck the radar and cam behind the mirror so it will be a pain to keep muting it on the highway after the initial alarm.

Not sure how much amperage is drawn from the Radar.

But for a single channel dash cam alone, a 10amp fuse is too much. Even a 5A fuse for just one single channel dash cam is too high in my opinion because the wire may burn before a 5A fuse blows.

And you are correct, a dash cam doesn't normally draw even 1A from the source. Some dash cam states it only draws 200mA on average (13.4V)

If my memory serves, I only put a 2A fuse for my 1-ch dash cam. Not to mention I have a inline fuse somewhere that ties with the battery discharge system (e.g., Blackvue Power Magic Pro, Lukas LK-290, etc)

Great technical answer. Ill pull the specs and size accordingly.
