Default Racing on 110 Octane

insane, Rolling with a 350 RC -Fsport and a G37 on first gear. We go and I pull 5 cars on the RC 350 and about 2 cars and a half on the G37.

that night I had gone to a sunoco gas station that here in miami and added 40 dollars of 110 octane to the existing 93 octane on the tank which was less than half and wow the car moves!

traction completely off and in S+ Mode.

my car is a Is350 Fsport 2015

Might be a placebo effect, but I'm pretty sure putting 110 octane in your car is only burning your wallet. It is not tuned for that and the higher the octane after I believe 91 really doesn't get you more performance out of the car

Here we have 95 and 98 and always fueled 98 makes a noticeable difference, the car feels more energetic.

Nope, it's all placebo effect. Your car is tuned for 91 octane, thus you can put all the race fuel in it that you want but you are not getting any more power out of it.
Amazing what the mind can trick you into thinking.

I once saw a gas station with $8 gallon gas and my head did a double take. It was the 110 octane. Woowee, to rich for my wallet.

Which still isn't bad considering C16, 117 octane, fuel is around $16/gal:

But, as previously mentioned, it's a complete waste without tuning. Even more so on a low-powered engine like the IS350 and IS F have, the gains wouldn't be worth the enormous cost of fuel. Even the UGR Lamborghinis are able to run over 1,100whp on 91/93 octane.

FYI, the octane rating in the US is different than the octane rating in a lot of other countries, including UAE. I believe that the US uses the AKI rating and UAE uses RON. This means that 95 octane in UAE is equal to 91 octane in the US.

I've done trials with people and given them sugar pills which they thought were pain killers. Some of the results were quite amusing.
