Default snow chains x 4??

With the NWS predicting record snow fall in Colorado this winter, I have decided to pick up some snow chains for my AWD IS250. I am going with SCC Z-Chains due to their low profile, ease of installation, and great past experience using them on other vehicles. My question is on following the manual which states that you should only chain up the rear wheels. I would assume that the instructions to not chain the front wheels as well on an AWD equipped car, has to do with the possibility of the chain contacting suspension components or the fender at full turn. I would assume that Lexus is waning on the side of caution to limit their liability with this statement. But if I were to be careful to limit the range of the steering wheel to say, 70%, I can't help but think chaining all four wheels would be fine. In fact, it seems that the AWD, traction control, and ABS systems, would all be happier with each wheel having the same grip characteristics. Has anyone tried chaining all four??? Is there something I'm missing that would discourage this practice other than the potential clearance issues???

Thanks!
