Awd Performance In The Snow
I've owned 3 GSs (last one being a 2001 430) and loved them - except for the snow. I always put Blizzaks on during the winter but was disappointed when the Northeast winters came. I went with a front wheel drive Acura TL in 2004 and am pretty happy with it's handling in the snow (also equipped with Blizzaks). I miss the GS and am considering the new 350 AWD. I would like to hear from some owners that have the 300 AWD (I know the 350 is new) that do a lot of winter driving and what their impressions of the GS AWD in the snow.
Thanks.

It's very simple. AWD with snow tires will be nearly twice as effective at getting moving as FWD with snow tires!
Braking and lateral grip will be the same.
Hence, I would defiantely put snow tires on. After all, not getting moving isn't going to cost you, not being able to stop or turn is!!!

Agree with HemantS... if you have serious snow challenges, then AWD is only half the story. Since you are already used to doing the winter/summer tire thing, you may as well keep at it.
That said, I bought my 300AWD in February, and never got around to seeing if the winter wheels from my ES300 (which had nearly-new Blizzaks on them) would fit. The stock all-seasons did very, very well in the few slippery days we had before spring. But then again, they were brand new, so I'm guessing that after 10K miles I won't get the same kind of grip.
So in a few months I'll probably be seeing whether I'm facing buying another set of wheels/tires or if my original set will fit.
