So I've had my IS for about 4 months now and love it! The only thing that I just noticed is that the alignment between the front bumper and the driver side fender is about 2-3 mm off which leaves a little bit of a gap. The other side lines up well and looks good. The bumper also lines up well with the hood and the grill. This misalignment, while small and generally unnoticeable, bothers me. Do you guys know what the acceptable tolerance is for panel alignment/gaps? Is this something I should bring up with Lexus, or am I being too picky (everyone says I'm way too picky with my stuff)? I can upload pics tomorrow if anyone's interested.
same position as you, although the "gap" for me is my fault, i bit the curb a little bit. had an oil change at lexus dealership yesterday and they were able to line it up a little more, but it's still not to my liking either. i don't think they removed the whole thing and aligned it back up.
I would check out the video on how to remove the front bumper. seems easy enough. i'm going to try to tackle it when i have free time.
I think for mine, the fender would have to be removed and lined up. I'll upload some pictures later, but I suppose I could go to the Lexus dealer and see what they think. If they can't do anything about it, I guess I'll have to live with it because everything else about the car is awesome.
