Plastidipped Wheels
When I first got my non-Fsport 3is I hated the 18 inch 5 spoke alloy wheels that came with it. I just thought silver looked kind of tacky. I didn't want to spend a lot of money to buy a new set of wheels, so instead I spent 3 hours and 25 dollars to plastidip my wheels black to give them a new look. This is the first time I've ever plastidipped before and I was surprised how easy it was to apply and I personally think they came out quite well!

Looks good, nice job. I used plasti-dip many times, love the stuff. Best part is if it gets scratched or chipped you just peel it off and start over. Although I have found it too be very durable. I had it on my wrx for 2 years on the window chrome, front air dam vents, and front lip. Looked the same as the day I put it on 2 years later, even thru car washes and winters.

I like it, now cover that chrome on your windows

The plastidip will hold up well to salt and snow. It's "sticks" to the surface very well and it's technically flexible so it'll hold up to some abuse. The more coats you put on the stronger it gets, but also gets harder to remove if you ever wanted to. The only place you might have an issue is in the car wash, if you use those in the winter, when the guy/girl sprays the car/rims with a high pressure washer before the car wash. But that said I had, plastidip on my wrx and it was fine when sprayed with the high pressure washer.

Looks great! I have been considering this for a little while. I see that you masked off the car itself, but what about the calipers and disks behind the wheel, how did you protect that from the plastidip?
