Default Headlight bulb help

2015 is250 fsport

Looking to buy 6000K bulbs. What kind of bulb do I need to buy? Size? Brand?

Do i need to buy an HID kit or just the bulbs?

Any suggestions or links would be helpful thanks!

I'm guessing you already have HID lights, if so you need D4S bulbs.

I put Osram Xenarc CBI 5500K in mine (pure white), it's like night & day compared to the stock bulbs.

Make sure you don't have led headlights, you can't replace those.

Thanks guys, I figured I was looking for D4S bulbs, and the phillips ultinon was my first option. Is there a way to tell if thats for sure what I need? i don't think I have LED lamps because they don't look LED. Also is the price of the Philips Ultinon worth the upgrade?

The f-sport package includes the twin-projector LED headlights - see picture.

If yours only has a single projector (see below) then it's standard HID not LED

I believe Canadian F Sports are HID only, so the OP probably does have the HIDs. In the US, F Sports come standard with LEDs, while it's optional on non F Sports.

One projector = HID and two projectors = LED.

I too have been thinking about changing to Ultinon 6200k. They seem to be fairly priced from HIDPowerhouse. I've had good experiences with them and might try it.

I highly recommend you using this site. It will specifically tell you what size bulb you have etc. http://www.philipsautolighting.com/ajax_select.php
If you are interested in buying HIDs go to http://hidpowerhouse.com/
@DaJoDJ All you do is turn the metal cover counter-clockwise and put a bitt of pressure and it should pop right out no problem

How can you confirm this? Unless Lexus accidentally put HID's in your IS, you definitely have LED bulbs.

My sticker says "DUAL HID HEADLIGHTS" I'll see if I can dig it up and post it tonight.
