Silver Lining Love?? Just picked up another IS...
Seems like there is little love out there for the silver lining. Just picked up one to replace my obsidian. Was stuck deciding between the ultra white and silver lining.
I found white with red interior too girly for me/dealers around me didn't have the white with black either.

I absolutely love the silver lining also, it's classic. I knew that I wanted this color for my new car when I walked into the dealership. Just stunning with the contrasts. I actually don't see any new IS' on the road in this color except on older models and I live in a large urban area. Most are white (predominantly), Nebula Gray and Obsidian. Sure, silver is the most common color for cars but there's a reason people choose it. It's timeless and so easy to maintain. The silver lining metallic has that ultra shiny steel vibe. It's different than Atomic Silver (which is more of a champagne/gold tone).
Color preference is subjective. It's the model and design that makes your car stand out.
This was discussed before in another thread.

Don't worry man, we're out here!
Didin't even think twice about what color I wanted, wayy to many white on red 3IS out there LOL. Silver lining is better than Atomic imo, Atomic looks way to golden in some lighting.

Still have some regrets on not going with the white. I always kind of wanted the white, and after I saw this one with the slick roof wrap its hurting a little more

If it wasn't for the entire fam for voting for silver I would have prob gone with the white. What can I say.
Not gonna lie, the silver RC at my dealer w/ carbon fiber kinda swayed me a bit...
You guys think I should do the CF on my SLM?

Hi there guys,
Not to thread jack but I'm looking to pick up a 2015 IS 250 and the one I've been looking at is SLM. My preference is normally to grey as I had a 2007 SGM prior. I like the way the chrome delete looks and and have seen it already on a nebula grey and it just works. It's something I immediately want to do but am wondering how it looks on a SLM. Any pictures of a 3IS SLM with chrome delete would be appreciated. Ive aleady tried searching and couldn't come up with any..
Thank you.
