Default Creeking Sound from Speedometer or Steering Wheel

The other week, I encountered a creeking or rattaling noise coming from my speedometer/steering wheel area. I didn't do anything do the area and don't drive my car hard. Since then, it has gone away but I am wondering if anyone else has encountered this issue.

Thanks.

I had that same problem also. I thought it was this plastic wrap underneath the steering wheel that was never removed that was making the noise.

I've been recently hearing this chattering sound coming from under the steering column I think, sounds almost like an electrical/relay clicking when I go over bumps or uneven road, is this the sound you hear? I thought it was the servo motor but it doesn't seem to make noise when I change the airflow option. Still haven't figured out what the sound is and it's mainly during the morning drive and happens randomly so I can't really take it in to the dealer and re-create the sound, they would just say they don't hear anything and be done with it haha. I hope it goes away!! Anyone else have this metal sound? (almost like 2 coins hitting eachother)

check to make sure all of the plastic panels in the drivers footwell is secured, mine wasn't 100% and it fixed my noise down there.

Does it sound like a metal clicking noise when you turn your steering wheel? If so, it's probably the clock spring in the steering wheel. I have that noise, I just haven't brought my car in yet to get it fixed

I tried just turning my steering wheel all the way left and right and I don't hear the metal clicking noise. It's mainly on my morning commute to work @ 6:30 and it happens when going over bumps or uneven roads, on my drive back home from work @4 I don't hear it. I still can't locate where it's coming from
